I’m Baaaack!

After almost three weeks on the road, I am back in San Francisco!  It was a great trip for Kendra Renee Jewelry- I had a successful show in Plymouth, scoped out several new retail locations, visited the amazing Fire Opal Gallery which carries my line, and caught up with some of my favorite customers.  All that is on top of hanging out with my best friend Tracey and celebrating my Grandmother’s 75th birthday!  Even though it was an amazing and productive few weeks, I couldn’t be happier to be back at home.  I have fresh ideas for my business and for new designs, and I am just itching to get back in my studio!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

I'll be back next year!

Don't worry Plymouth! I'll be back!

Still in the East

Hi everyone! Just a quick update- I’m still on the east coast and will continue to be here for another week. Sorry for the lack of posts- I don’t have my real computer with me, just my boyfriend’s iPad (a frustrating little device if you’re trying to actually get any work done). More posts when I get back to my real computer. Wishing everyone a happy 4th!

The Sampler- a success!

The SF Etsy Sampler was Saturday- many thanks to all who came out to show their support!  A big thank you is also in order for Scott and Catherine of the Artist Xchange, all our participating team members, and Jen of Mama’s Magic Studio– our fearless team leader who was a fantastic partner is organizing this event.  I’ve never planned an event before, and I have to say that I am very proud of how this all went off.  I thought I’d take a moment to share some pictures.  If you want to hear a fantastic podcast with interviews of the artists, visit the SF Etsy Team Blog.  There’s also tons more photos- you can also visit out team Flickr Pool to see them.

Studio Tour 2010

As many of you know, I’m from Vermont.  For me, spring in Vermont always brings to mind the Vermont Open Studio’s Weekend, when tons of amazing Vermont artists open their doors and show the public their studio spaces and new work.  Last year, I was lucky enough to participate, and even luckier to exhibit in the gorgeous studio of Irene Lederer Lacroix of Rend’l Pottery.  (PS- you should really check out Irene’s work- her hand-painted Raku pottery is stunning)  Hearing about this year’s Open Studio Weekend made me wish I was back in Vermont, and so in honor of the occasion I am hosting a virtual open studio!

Here are some pictures of where all the magic happens- basically, I work out of a tiny tin hut in our front yard.  There’s just about enough room in there for me, my workbench, and Annie (my anvil).  It’s been the perfect spot for me in my first year in business, although I am hoping that in September I will “graduate” to a new studio in an artist building.
