As many of you know, I’m from Vermont. For me, spring in Vermont always brings to mind the Vermont Open Studio’s Weekend, when tons of amazing Vermont artists open their doors and show the public their studio spaces and new work. Last year, I was lucky enough to participate, and even luckier to exhibit in the gorgeous studio of Irene Lederer Lacroix of Rend’l Pottery. (PS- you should really check out Irene’s work- her hand-painted Raku pottery is stunning) Hearing about this year’s Open Studio Weekend made me wish I was back in Vermont, and so in honor of the occasion I am hosting a virtual open studio!
Here are some pictures of where all the magic happens- basically, I work out of a tiny tin hut in our front yard. There’s just about enough room in there for me, my workbench, and Annie (my anvil). It’s been the perfect spot for me in my first year in business, although I am hoping that in September I will “graduate” to a new studio in an artist building.
You can get a sense of the coziness of my little spot
Annie and I hang out a lot.
Yes, I am a huge geek and I love my hammers.
My workbench- okay, it's just a little messy.
I look like I deep in thought about a creative conundrum... really, I'm just listening to my friend Brian.
That's my secret drawer where I keep my precious pliers.
I love what I do!
